Worth going! Not too big so you can do it in an hour or two. Nice collection and gift shop. The building itself is a work of art.

We like what we call Real Art, not Op/Pop/Modern Art, inc. Picasso that looks like a child did it. But, Renoir, Realism, even Impressionistic. You'll find all of that here, so see what you like. I love the old, excavated art from centuries ago (permanent collection). There are 3 floors of it and a cafe. Free, but they like donations.

Terrifically eclectic collections, perhaps unexpected in a traditional older industrial city. They don't offer a soup to nuts survey of classical art, but if you appreciate their specialties or rotating exhibits they are terrific. I've been here three times in 3 years and am sad to report there is nothing new to report. Maybe I'm jaded and have seen too many museums, but this place just does not excite me. Aside from its wonderful ceramics, the collections leave me feeling like i just went to a banquet and only got a stalk of celery....
