I agree with the reviewer who noted the curt, rude behavior of some of the employees. Two people in particular left our group talking more about how rude and nasty the guides were than about what we had seen and learned. it's a shame because the grounds are beautiful and the history is fascinating. I would not recommend bringing children... More

We had a great guide for the Manor tour and she made the 17th and 18th century household come alive. More

This is a great visit for adults and kids alike. There are presentation on all sorts of colonial things . We once saw sheep sheering! There are a number of sites one can take advantage of in this area and have fun while doing it. More

My mom and I spent a lovely afternoon here. The setting is gorgeous and the tour guides are very knowledgeable. There are picnic tables (and a cafe, but we brought lunch). Nice example of a living history museum. There is also an old church across the street with a cemetery dating to the mid 1700s. More

We bought discounted tickets for this at Sunnyside. The property is beautiful and each area has it's own knowledgeable tour guide. My kids and I learned a lot and the guides made everything interesting. My boys were able to work with wool, wheat and flax (all things they can't do it Miami!). On another note: Take your own drinks if... More

I live near P'burg and have been enjoying it for years. The setting is pleasant, and the site, which focuses on slavery in the North, intelligently interpreted. There are live animals and interesting special events. Some of the costumed interpreters are fantastic. Others, however (and the people at the desk, for that matter), could do a much better job at...
