Great beach for walking any time of the year. Has a excellent camp ground which can become crowded during the peak summer months. More

Very crowded during the day. Worth the trip at dusk. Snack bar with live music is great! More

Located at the southern end of the William Floyd Parkway, Smith Point has a large parking field and a wide beach with great sand. For those who have a beach permit, taking a Jeep out on the east end of the park is great fun with lots of beach and trails to explore. The camping at the entrance of the... More

First of all its not a state park but a county park. It is not free except for after 5 pm.. There is a $5 fee for parking for county residents with a park pass and a $12 fee for nonresidents or those without a park pass. The misquito population varies with the weather, at times there are few, other... More

If you go to the west side of the beach near the nature walk you can avoid that atmosphere. The nature walk... More

Oh my god! We camped here & it was absolutely horrific! To get to the beach where the lifeguards are you must walk a bit & that's usually no big deal for us, however, there were mosquitos swarming around us on the walk & I am not joking when I say that myself & my children have about 100 bites... Beining a long timer out here in Shirley 2 miles from the beach. I walk @ 4 wheel there year round. Today while my walk I was lucky to have seen a seal pup suning it'sself on the sand . What a sight. Everyday is a beautiful day at Smith Point Park More
