Just got back from my second trip to Crystal Grove Diamond Mine and campground, as with the first it was great. Crystal Grove has a real nice rustic camp ground with restrooms and hot showers. The camp ground is clean and quiet and in its self a great place to spend a few days, but we were there to mine... More

My wife and I just returned from our trip to Crystal Grove, and to be honest, we had a great time! The facilities were clean and nice. We stayed in one of their cabins which was clean and comfortable (and the ceiling fan was a lifesaver from the heat we've been having!). We actually had the mines to ourselves on... More

Hello to all this may concern, I have been mining for over 6 years, 2 years just Herkimer Diamonds. I have gone to just about every mine that has ever had Herkimer Diamonds in the rocks or soil and sorry this is the worst place I've been to. Had a great time digging in the dirt looking for diamonds. Mine is real an open pit with rocks and rubble. Owner does come around to see how you are doing and to give you extra tips. I found a short handled pick ax a good tool and rented a hammer. Make sure you wear safety glass as the rocks... More
