great trail along river takes you from city to lake - meet all kinds of families with children and pets along this friendly, challenging walkway - great in the fall AND spring! If you are lucky you will meet the Swan family and the visiting Canadian Geese!

This is a great escape right in the city! paved path is nice, especially the north end of trail, the trail dose include some roadside sections that are not as nice , but all parts in the river gorge are wonderful.

I love running along the Riverway Trail. On my last run, I switched over the other side of the river. Not only was it beautiful, it was also very peaceful. I recommend the Trail for running & walking.

We used the Genesee River trail to get us from the Erie Canal to our hotel in downtown Rochester. Very nice, scenic trail and ended about a block from our hotel.

There are a few solid trails in the Rochester area and this is one of them. Great for biking, walking and, running. A few of the markings are a bit tough to follow but overall it is a great riding train.

A bit hard to follow/find in places, especially where it's interrupted by construction, but generally a nice trail. The little museum and gift shop at the High Falls Center is definitely worth a stop, especially for kids (located just north of the High Falls overlook, on the west side of the river).

If biking is an activity you enjoy, this path is for you. A well cared for surface with ever-changing scenery along either the Barge / Erie Canal. It stretches over a hundred miles combined. There are rare spots where rather than road like surface there is gravel, but any road bike can handle the terrain. There are locks with parks,... More
