I like to go for the art festival, and then check out the real gallery. It's a pretty small museum compared to the Smithsonian but is very nice and well worth the visit.

Small city gallery with nothing of interest in the place. It is an example of how a city that was one an imaging center has tried to recoop but not doing a very good job at it.

Check this out for yourself in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. They comissioned a guy who chained up a puppey and shot it in the name of art. I will NEVER got there agin. I to think that I used to donate money to them each year. They should be ashamed of themselves.

While the gallery owns some impressive works, it does not rotate often or move older works held ins towage to the main halls often. It is a nice museum to visit, but if you are looking for a more fulfilling day in art, take the extra time to drive to Buffalo to go to the Albright Knox.

I love museums and this one is great for the size of our city. High quality paintings from different periods.

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at the Gallery's Max's restaurant. The service was prompt and professional and the food was above what we expected. Not your adverage gallery cafe fare. Well beyond that. Im talking warm popovers served instead of rolls, beautifully composed salads etc.
