I like to go for the art festival, and then check out the real gallery. It's a pretty small museum compared to the Smithsonian but is very nice and well worth the visit. More

Small city gallery with nothing of interest in the place. It is an example of how a city that was one an imaging center has tried to recoop but not doing a very good job at it. More

Seeing all those famous art works close up! One of my favorites: Winslow Homer's "Artist's Studio in Moonlight" More

Fairly ordinary in house exhibits, though interesting travelling shows from time to time. More

Check this out for yourself in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. They comissioned a guy who chained up a puppey and shot it in the name of art. I will NEVER got there agin. I to think that I used to donate money to them each year. They should be ashamed of themselves. More

I didn't expect the MAG to have the wonderful collection I experienced during my visit. Lovely surprise. More

The Memorial Art Gallery is a good-size place that probably receives less than its share of visitors. I became familiar with it when our family donated a few works of art from my grandfather, who was a well-known painter in the early 1900s. The museum contains tens of thousands of works of art, and cycles them through various exhibitions at... More

While the gallery owns some impressive works, it does not rotate often or move older works held ins towage to the main halls often. It is a nice museum to visit, but if you are looking for a more fulfilling day in art, take the extra time to drive to Buffalo to go to the Albright Knox. More

I love museums and this one is great for the size of our city. High quality paintings from different periods. More

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at the Gallery's Max's restaurant. The service was prompt and professional and the food was above what we expected. Not your adverage gallery cafe fare. Well beyond that. Im talking warm popovers served instead of rolls, beautifully composed salads etc. More
