We enjoyed our 90 minute ride on the Sam Patch as a late afternoon activity with the kids. The Sam Patch leaves from Pittsford and the ride down the canal looking at the village shops and homes is very relaxing. Going through the lock is impressive and informative. We just returned from a trip home to Rochester, NY & a first time treat of a boat trip on the Genesse River & Erie Canal. They did a wonderful job of combining a history lesson, a civics lesson & an ecology lesson all in less than 90 mins. We learned sooo much!

Nice boat ride along the Erie Canal, 90 minute tour along Pittsford to Lock 32. We got to go thru the lock, go a little way up and turn around and go thru it again!
Affordable, $12 each, they sell soda, beer, wine and snacks on the boat
