We visited Santorini in March, which was perfect. There were no crowds and the weather was perfect: sunny and 75 degrees each day. Many boat tours and sea trip excursions were not yet running since tourist season had not yet begun. However, upon contacting Captain Stathis via email @ santoriniseatrips@yahoo.co.uk, we were promptly greeted and happily booked a three hour... More

Forget Paris. Landon, bah. Barcelona, retrograde. Provence and Tuscany, well close. For my money, the most picturesque [man-made] place in Europe is OIA, a tiny village on the northern tip of the Island of Santorini in Greece. Don't take my word for it, consider how many travel magazine covers have appeared this year with one of Oia domed covered churches... More

On our second to last day we took a three hour tour on the Isabella with Karen and Nick. We nearly missed the boat, having underestimated how long it would take to get from Oia to the port, but they had kept an eye out for us and turned the boat right around to collect us. They were without a... More

We took a tour of Oia & the Winery on the Island of Santorini from a cruise ship. We were met by our tour guide who was excellent , her name was Georgina. She was the best, her english was very good and she never missed a beat telling us all about the Island with every little detail. She kept... More

We had the most perfect day. 11 friends went out on the boat for the day. Captain Stathis was so wonderful and took us wherever we wanted to go. We started out by going up to OIA for a couple of hours. They arranged to have a mini bus pick us up to take us to the top and then... More

Undestandably, the beautiful Caldera is very popular with tourists. To get away from the crowds, try a smaller boat! MS Isabella only takes 10 passengers, which makes the trip much more flexible. Nice British crew Nick + Karin (same name as me, but NOT me) gives good advice on where and when to go. My husband and I really enjoyed... More

We had a wonderfull four hour cruise with husband and wife Nick & Karin,in their traditional wooden boat "ISABELLA" trip to the volcano, swiming in the hot springs the boat was at our disposal, the views from the sea are wonderfull and we would highly recomend seeing the coastline by boat. It is a bonus as the boat only carries... More

We were taken out to the volcano & around the caldera on the beautiful wooden boat Isabella by husband & wife team, Nick & Karin. We could choose where we went & how long we stayed as we were lucky enough to have the boat to ourselves. What a trip! The scenery was breathtaking & we loved every minute. Thoroughly... More

Best way to get to Santorini is by plane (50'from Athens) Imerovigliosso hotel is a find... great service... they do not measure efforts to please...very Imerovigli is very convenient, near Fira. Rent a car. Spare at least 3 days for Santorini. Go to Kamari and Perivoli beaches. Taste the wines... enjoy... More

Elelven of us arrived in Santorini having organised a minibus to take us to Oia for the afternoon, but once we arrived we found that we had to wait ages for the tender to take us to shore, and when we did arrive there were terrible crowds waiting at the bottom of the cliff for the cable cars to take...
