We had scheduled ahead of time for a series of 5 days of diving out of Stone Town. We had brought most of our gear with us so only needed tanks, BCD's and weights. This equipment that they provided was fine and good. As we weren't quite in the high season, we never had more than 4 other divers on... More

We went to Matemwe for a first diving experience with One Ocean diving center. We had one instructor for 2 who was very professionnal, the center was very well organized with excellent gear. We decided to go for the Open Water diving certificate and we can only recommend this place for any diving course. Besides water was 28 degrees celsius... More

We went on a diving/snorkelling trip off Matamwe, near Mnemba, with One Ocean. It was a pleasant way to spend a few hours but the snorkelling really wasn't great. There were far too many people in the area, actual snorkelling time was short and, while the snorkelling is supposed to be guided, the guides lost half the group a few... More

Booked ahead via the Internet for a combined group of divers and snorkelers. Had a bit of communication trouble when confirming the day before, but it worked out and the driver picked us up on time (from our villa down the beach). The dive office itself is located in a nice section of a host hotel, and the intake procedure... More

We completed our open water dives as referral students to get our PADI licenses with One Ocean at Matemwe. Greg and Marine (who run the center) are lovely and we highly recommend them and their team as teachers to anyone thinking about learning how to scuba or snorkel. They are great instructors (patient, listen well) and also make sure you... More

We celebrated 2012 New Year at Azanzi and I could not better start the year then with a fantastic dive experience. With the 'Once Ocean' dive center I followed an Open Water certification course to be upgraded from Scuba Diver. During the first day Fabian guided me through the theory and tests, making all the time available to really 'get... More

We used One Ocean for two different adventures. The first was out of Matemwe on the northeast coast of Zanzibar. We walked from our accommodation, the Sunshine Hotel, along the beach to the One Ocean office. From there a sturdy wooden dhow complete with live jackets, refreshments, etc... took us for the 20 minute ride to our first snorkeling /... More

My friend Allison and I had a fantastic experience with One Ocean on our trip to Zanzibar. There was a bit of confusion at first over the price/location for our dive (make sure you clear up beforehand exactly which center you're booked with). After that it was smooth sailing the entire trip. We both took the Open Water Certification course... More

We have been staying for one week at Azanzi (Matemwe) where One Ocean is running a dive operation. It's been a pleasure to be diving and snorkeling with One Ocean's very friendly and helpful staff. Different groups of divers were dropped at different sites, so no overly crowed dive sites. We've never had more than 4 divers per dive master.... More

We just got back from three days of diving and snorkeling with One Ocean after climbing Kilimanjaro and had a great time. We spent two days with the Azanzi group and one day with the Matemwe Beach Village group. Both were great, very professional and fun people to dive with. More
