felt the staff was rushing us, and it wasn't busy. Felt more of a gift store with a wine bar as an afterthought. Wines okay but pricey.

We visited Macari as part of the LI Jazz fest "Live on the Vine" www.liwinterfest.com or www.eastendarts.org.
It's always great to see see live music, or so we thought. For $15 we got a glass of house wine (limited choices) and admission . The merlot and chardonnay were pretty acidic, so we did not spring for additional glasses of the...

I have visited both locations, in Cutchogue and mattituck. On weekends, the mattituck location can be overly busy...but relaxing if you buy a bottle and sit on the deck. The staff is very knowledgeable-and even took the time to show us proper tasting methods... One suggestion is also to go on off hours-definitely not between 2:30 and 4:30...The Cutchogue location...

I have visited Macari many times since I have lived in NYC. I have always enjoyed their Chardonnay that is aged in oak. I must say that the most recent visit was a wake-up call. It doesn't matter how good your wines are. If the staff is rude, it spoils the experience. I will not be back.

We are very sorry to hear of your experience during your last visit to Macari Vineyards. Since you have been here in the past, you must realize rudeness is not the standard "Macari Way". I recently went with a group of people. We polished off about 7 bottles of wine there. What I was a little disappointed in, is the apparent change in policy about bringing outside food. Last year, similar time, we had gone with a group of 6 and was able to eat sandwiches out on the deck in the rear, this...

Just came back from North Fork and we stopped at both Macari Locations, the original one on RTE 48 and also the one that they just purchased from another vineyard on RTE 25. They were both great and the Reserve Chardonnay was very tasty and also Macari makes a tremendous Early White wine that me and my girlfriend loved! Highly...

We visited Macari Vineyards over the Labor Day Weekend. This vineyard is one of many wineries found along the North Fork of Long Island where it is blessed with rich, well-drained soil and temperature from Long Island Sound. The compound was beautifully kept and the tasting room was bright and airy. The stuff was very knowledgable and helpful. It cost...

We went here on April 25th with what we thought were 3:00 reservations for a group of 13 with an extensive tasting list with the whites for my white wine drinkers and reds for red wine drinkers:
2007 Sauvignon Blanc #1 $26.99
2007 Estate Chardonnay $18.99
2007 Reserve Barrel Chardonnay $22.99
Sette $14.99 (this is a Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend)
2004...

I had gone here with friends and thorougly enjoyed the experience. The tasting menu had a mix of white and red wines which I'm a white drinker and was not thrilled at first. I figured I'd grin and bare it for the reds. However the man who helped us through the tasting had a creative way to help us enjoy...
