Lockport is a beautiful town and the Cruise was fun. It was a great way to see how a canal lock works and beautiful scenery along the way. More

The cruise is nice but the big attraction is going through the locks and seeing how transportation was accomplished over a century ago. One tip---Make reservations as tour buses often fill up the boat and try to get the 3:00 trip as this one seems to be less likely to have a boatload of seniors on it. More

I live in the Buffalo area, and have never been through the Locks in Lockport, NY. My wife and I took friends from out of town, for "someting to do" and everyone enjoyed this two hour boat trip. How many people have the opportunity to go through locks that have so much historical background? Lockport is close to Buffalo, Niagara... More

Took the 10 a.m. cruise on a gorgeously sunny summer day in late June 2011. Dock was picturesque, staff were incredibly friendly. The tour itself is slow, slow, slow. Loaded with little tidbits about the liftlock system and of course the trip up and down Locks 34 & 35, but it takes a long time and the pace is just... More

We took our 8-year old son on the two-hour Erie Canal cruise. He has been very interested in the Erie Canal and had read a couple of books before we went on our trip and specifically asked to see Lockport based on what he read. Thankfully, once we got there he loved this cruise and so did we -- you... More

The trip through the locks was very interesting. I had no idea how locks worked, and being in the boat while the water rose was fun. On the way back, the boat went past the original docking point and under a few bridges that were operated by one bridge tender. He'd raise the bridge so the boat could pass under... More

We were visiting in Buffalo and ended up with a day free. We took the day to visit Lockport, NY and take this cruise on the Erie Canal and it was great. The tour covers about 5 miles and two locks on the Erie canal. It was very informative. I enjoy history and we had ridden by the Erie canal... More

We went on this Mon. July 27, 10:30am. The cruise is about 2 hours long through the Lockport locks and up the Erie Canal a short distance. Complete details are, in my opinion, accurately given on their website. Our Captain's commentary was both informative and engaging. The history of the construction of the canals and how they function were all... More

Rated 2.5 This cruise was very informative as to how the Erie Canal worked in the 1800's but took to long. It would be better if it took 45 minutes or an hour. Price for the cruise was a fair price. Let the wife shop while you take the cruise and both will have a good time. More
