This was one of the weirder museums I have ever seen. We went to both the Playhouse and the museum. I always watched Lucy -- all of her shows and movies -- as I was growing up in the '60s and '70s, so I did get a kick out of it. The Playhouse features re-creations of the TV show's sets... More

Really fun for those who love Lucy! The gift shops are really entertaining and it's exciting (and different) to see the sets. They are real life where we only saw them in black and white. More

The museum seemed overpriced however the Playhouse was worth the entrance fee. The playhouse sets were very well done and brought back a lot of memories. Too bad they can't combine the faucility, the museum isn't that large. The staff at the playhouse were very helpful is suggesting other Ball sites in Jamestown, Very unique town and worth a short... I've wanted to visit the Lucy Desi Center for a long time seeing I'm a huge fan of I Love Lucy. We got there 3 days after Lucy Fest. We traveled by Motorhome, and we could NOT find a place to park. There is no parking lot for the Center(as far as we could see). We were expecting one since... More

I've been meaning to go here for years, and the opportunity finally arose. Clearly they've created a shrine of sorts to the best TV show to ever run. A very nice job. The highlight was seeing actual sets from the TV show. Who knew the sofa was blue?! Disappointing that photography was not allowed in the display area. If you're... More

Totally enjoyed the museum and Desilu playhouse. Have wanted to go for years and finally made the 6 hr. trip. While in Jamestown, we drove by house where Lucy was born and the house she lived in as a child in nearby Celoron, NY. Also visited her plot in Lakeview Cemetary. If you're a true Lucy fan you will appreciate... More

Make sure you go to both sides of the museum and watch the old shows in the viewing room on the left side. It's smaller than I expected, but what they have is wonderful. Lucy's Rolls, Lucy's and Desi's clothing and the sets especially are great. One of the things I liked most was that other visitors are chatty --... More
