The trails are magnificent; so many birds seen along the way...the building is full of many interesting displays; and there are talks and lectures here, too. The gift shop rocks! More

We've always done the spring bird count which originates from Sapsucker Woods. the view of the birds over marshy lake was really intersting, the birdsong data base was educational and the the gift shop stayed on theme but provided lots to buy.for bird lovers and their children or grand children More

This is the place to come if you want to watch great blue herons nesting, listen to bird songs and find out everything you've ever wanted to know about birds. The visitor center is set up so that you can watch the pond right out the window as you sit inside comfortably warm and dry and many kinds of birds... More

Came here with my husband. A wonderful place to walk around and see nature. The trails are covered in wood chips and a easy walk. Even though we went on a rainy day we really enjoyed it. It right next to the Cornell Lab of Orinthology, a must if your in the area. More

You know your going there for birds, right? Knowing that, you'll find what you came for. Also, the building is of interest to me, as an engineer. More

I live in a nearby town and have been visiting regularly for over 30 years. The trails are deeply mulched so are seldom muddy. There are multiple ponds and wooded areas. The Cornell Ornithology Lab building is open often and has a inside viewing area with spotting scopes and bathrooms. There are lots of opportunities for photographers. In spring Great... More

Ithaca has a lot of very nice attractions and areas to visit, but Sapsucker Woods was my spot. 230 acres and 4 miles of trails through forests, ponds and wildlife. It is part of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. While there, three deer crossed my path (four times), I saw flowers, birds, trees, ponds, dragonflies...all while traveling along a soft... More

Even in winter, there were many birds to see as well as deer. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gift shop has many Charles Harper items. More
