I've seen lots of historic homes in the Hudson Valley. This house is quite beautiful, but the price was a bit high for what it is. If you're not spending much money elsewhere on your trip, do the tour, but if your funds are limited, visit other historic homes in the area. More

Olana is extraordinary. I've been there three or four times and each time I went I learned something new. I'm going back next month with a group of Red Hatters and this time I'll get to view rooms on the upper floor that weren't open when I went before. The grounds are lovely for strolling. Just wear comfortable shoes. More
