The view is spectacular and the house unique, designed by Frederick Church and filled with beautiful middle eastern furnishings and objects...much more than I expected. The tour was very interesting and intelligently organized.

I visit Olana several times a year and there is no place I would rather be. The grounds and views are stunning and the house is inviting and spectacularly toured. If you are ever in the area visit this jewel!

Olana is so much more that we expected and the guide who is also the site manager was incredibly knowledgeable about the house, grounds along with Mr. Church and his family. Not to be missed. What incredible views.

I went here with my boyfriend on my birthday in April- it was a beautiful clear day & we could see the Catskill mountains and the Hudson river. We had a picnic lunch on the grounds & then took the tour of the Mansion.
The tour was very interesting & being an artist myself I enjoyed everything. While in school...

I've seen lots of historic homes in the Hudson Valley. This house is quite beautiful, but the price was a bit high for what it is. If you're not spending much money elsewhere on your trip, do the tour, but if your funds are limited, visit other historic homes in the area.

It's an interesting look into the life of the artist who lived here and the times in which he lived.

Olana is extraordinary. I've been there three or four times and each time I went I learned something new. I'm going back next month with a group of Red Hatters and this time I'll get to view rooms on the upper floor that weren't open when I went before. The grounds are lovely for strolling. Just wear comfortable shoes.
