Bacardi Beach... It was a bit busy but well worth the trip. Anse Lazio is overall the best beach we visited. More

Beautiful and unique beach with crystal clear, warm water for swimming or snorkeling.Try early in the morning (at low tide) for a magical experience: beautiful, quiet water in which you can walk to the reef (150 meters). When the day trippers arrive (from 10.30), there is still plenty of space on the beautiful white beaches (but less shady spots available).... More

I really cannot understand why everyone is raving about La Digue. We took a private boat from our hotel The Raffles on Pralin and thought we could anchor off the coves and swim on to shore. Alas this was not possible due to the reefs , so we had to go to the jetty and then catch a taxi to... More

Anse source d'Argent is indeed a beautiful postcard beach, but with little true utility as such. Depending on the tide and seaweed, you might not be able to swim at all, but rather walk from one part of the beach to the other. Snorkeling is possible when the tide is not too low. Not best snorkeling ever, but you might... More

Probably the most beautiful beach on La Digue. Easy access with the bicycle and plenty of shade. Definetly go there! More

excellent for the rocks, beach and sand, the reef flat is wonderful for children to play at low tide, the reef itself (a few hundred meter from teh beach) has suffered greatly. Now this beach appears to be getting overrun by tourists wishing to get their pictures of paradise taken with the ugly side effects of everyone leaving their litter... More

We only went through for the day, planned to visit some of the other beaches but after seeing it stayed here for the entire day! Don't expect a long open white beach. Prepare yourself to see one of the most beautiful, unique beaches you've ever seen. This is how I felt. the beach is 'broken-up' or divided into lots of... More

This a a very special location with its white sand, clear azure beach, and the huge granite rocks that line the shore along part of the beach. Although very shallow water, it is good for snorkelling off the beach. Water is generally calm. More

this is a spectacular beach for photographs, there is no doubt about this..but for swimming it is a shallow beach and may not suit everyone...personally, I like grand anse for swimming, and anse severe for snorkelling...there are more deserted beaches on the east coast..around anse banane..but take water and a hat as there is not much shelter...we found staying in...
