Great art, beautiful scenery. There is a new cafe in the visitor's centre, which is great after a spring or fall stroll through the sculpture fields. For an extra, visit the artists' studios at the nearby barn complex.

We have visited the open studio days at Art Omi several times over the years and always found them to be satisfying and intriguing. This September we attended a contemporary dance performance for all the dancers in residence. It was truly superb. Omi has also opened a visitors center with a restaurant, offering dishes from local Columbia Country produce, and... More

a pleasant walk: some of the art is half hidden and some can't be missed. We especially enjoyed the changing view of the "double boxes" pictured at this website. The view of this piece changes amazingly with each step. My sister's favorite is likely the large figures that look like they are dripped with candle wax or the bedsteads with... More

Ok, so modern art is not really my thing. However, I thought it would be nice to view some outdoor art. It was nice walking the grounds and taking pictures of the various displays. There are some hidden ones, so you need to pay attention, especially in the woods. It ended up being a nice way to end a nice... More

We stopped by here during a day trip south, and it was an enlightening way to spend some time, wandering about in the field, looking at the art and debating what it meant and what art really is, anyway. It's out in the middle of south nowhere, certainly nowhere you're ever likely to just stumble across, but it made for... More

Gorgeous setting with fantastic art. This is a great way to spend an afternoon, especially if you're in the mood for a walk. (It's also dog friendly!)

We visited Omi on a day the welcome center was closed, so it was quiet in the fields and woods. Besides some workers, we were the only people we saw on the grounds. Signage is clear and finding the place was easy. Just head down Rt. 22 off 9H and go until you see the big Omi sign at the... More
