This is a beautiful, "antique" theater that lends itself well to live performances. I have attended concerts, movies and live theater events here and have enjoyed them all. Lobby decor is elegant as well, and sometimes charity or other events are held there. A must-see for the area. More

Beautiful place to watch musicals, I saw rent here and it was great!  Hoping they do it again.  Not a bad seat in this place. More

A wonderful example of historic preservation. For a small town to restore and support an historic theater is difficult but it is being done in Geneva. Italianate renaissance interior with Art Deco touches throughout (sounds strange but it works!). Live shows and movies - worth the trip! More

This venue is great. Sound was perfect. I just didn't enjoy having to get a wrist band upstairs to end up going downstairs to have a cocktail. More

This is my third time attending a concert at Smith. The room is great! The look is very cool, the seating is comfortable and the sound is very clear. I'm not sure about the need for security pat-downs at the front door. It didn't seem to affect the amount of marijuana smuggled into the place and used during the most... More

What a hidden gem the Smith Opera House in Geneva is. Having lived near Geneva all my life, I tended to forget what a great venue the Smith is for concerts, plays, and movies. We have recently attended a concert by Jim Brickman and Jay Unger and found the Smith a wonderful concert hall. The building itself is well-preserved, a... More
