lots of animals to keep the kids happy! its not a large zoo by any means but its perfect for a day out that isn't too far and not too taxing on your wallet! you can walk around aimlessly without much direction but stop and visit all the animals

OK, I'll admit it, this zoo could use a facelift. But, the petting/feeding side is perfect for little ones: it's not overbearing and it's small. On the exhibit side: there is an assortment: alligators, bear, bald eagle, sea lions, etc. What is great is that this zoo is part of the overall area: carousel, Flushing Meadow Park, Citi Field, NY...

This zoo is beautiful, clean, civilized and inexpensive. It reminded me of some of the nicer zoos that I have been to in Europe. You could see everything in one hour, but it is best to take a leisurely stroll.
