The Discovery Center is definitely a shining star in the Southeern Tier. A great place for kids to spen a few hours or an afternoon. We took our grand daughter to the Discovery Center in Salt Lake City (she lives in Park City) and even though it's bigger..ours is as entertaining if not more.

Took the kids I nannied, they had a great time! There's a lot to do there, love the outside area and the grocery store! The kids loved it! It's also nice that you can take bagged lunch w/you!

Well laid out, interesting group of activities, but you would not want to go there more than once, since all activities can be completed in an hour or so. Kids are allowed to run around and have fun with other kids.

Thank you for your kind review of The Discovery Center. However, I disagree with your statement that "you would not want to go there more than once." There are always new reasons to visit The Discovery Center! We have special events, performances, daily unique programs, workshops, summer camps, special programs during school holidays, and changing exhibits. In warmer weather our... More

visit during warm weather and the children will love the story garden. I let my grandchildren play while just enjoying the beauty and the creativeness of the garden. In cold weather, the Discovery Center offers many enticing opportunities for young children - grocery shopping, playing dentist, musical exploration and right now and marvelous exhibit honoring girl scouts.

Whenever they visit from out of town, a trip to the Discovery Center is always a highlight for our grandchildren. The creativity and well thought out construction of the various exhibits stimulates the imagination of children from 2 - 12.

The gardens as well as the indoor space are great for small children up through about 10. You can get lost here for several hours and in the winter it's a wonderful way to spend the day. A friend of ours hosted an overnight birthday sleepover here and it was a huge hit with the kids.

We have a science center pass and make very good use of it. The great thing about the pass is they all do a share program and we were lucky to be able to visit the Discovery Center in Binghamton. We spent 3 hours here had to pull the kids away. This is definitely one of the coolest places for... More
