This is a tiny little theater, but features double screens, so they will always be showing two high quality independent and/or foreign films. The building is lovely, and there is a small art gallery space in the lobby area of the theater, usually featuring an exhibit by local artists. The restrooms are even unique and "artfully" rendered--the entire tiny space... More

This is a THE place in Binghamton to see independent and foreign films. The screening rooms are small but the seating is comfortable, the views are good and the patrons are well mannered. Concessions are fairly priced and include items such as flavored teas, sometimes cookies, usually coffee.

This is the only place to see many of the great films that don't get distributed to national theaters. There are two small theaters and always a choice of top notch films. Also enjoy the gallery while waiting for the film to begin.

While looking for a movie to see we stumbled across Wes Andersons "Moonrise Kingdom" playing at the Art Mission Theater after a search for local movies. found this great theater to see Moonrise Kingdom, it's located in a great old building in the downtown area. The actual theater is very small, the seating was maybe 25, but the intimate seating was cool to me, made it a better viewing experience. they do take credit/debit cards.
