If you go to Taos or Angel Fire, put Taos Snowshoe Adventures on your definate list of things to do. Our children were reluctant to go (as usual), but once on the trail they were very interested and one ended up leading the hike. My Wife and I were in the back as we are around 50 yo, don't exercise... More

I highly recommend doing a tour with Taos Snowshoe Adventures! As many of the reviewers mentioned, Stuart is a wonderful tour leader who does a great job of pacing the activity based on the group and sharing interesting information about the forest, mountains, animals and history of the area. The atmosphere he creates is very welcoming. I joined a 1/2... More

Snowshoeing with Stuart and our group of all-levels of snowshoers was great fun and was surprisingly informative. What kind of tree is that? You think it's a pine. Nope. Stuart let us know it was a spruce, and then he told us how you can tell the difference. All the while we were snowshoeing through the fresh, deep snow in... More

Having spent the previous day mostly on my back at Enchanted Forest trying to learn how to turn on skis for cross-country skiing, I was confident when I told my friend, "at least I won't be falling". I'm guessing that while I'm likely the first one in his career to fall in the parking lot, he'll be telling my story... More

A few days after Christmas in Taos (spent snowboarding, hot-springing, brew-pubbing, etc.), my wife and I decided that we were in desperate need of a nature fix. Curious, we looked online and discovered Taos Snowshoe Adventures, and within minutes after speaking with Leah on the phone, we had a detailed itinerary including a list of what to bring as well... Fresh snow on a sunny December day, stunningly beautiful scenery and our awesome guide Stuart made for a day that we will always remember. I'm so glad that my daughter talked me into this 1/2 day trip - I was concerned that the altitude and hiking uphill would be too much for a slightly out of shape 56 yr. old... More

We were a group of 5 for the half day snow shoe adventure. It looked pretty difficult at the beginning but we managed to go up to 10000 feet (not bad for first timers) all because of the great support and friendly nature of our guide Stuart. He is a great guy with so much love in his heart for... More

Stuart is an amazing knowledgable guide. It was our first snowshoe experience and great. There had been a huge snowfall so the trek was strenuous but fun. His backpack was like Mary Poppins's bag- he just kept pulling more food and snacks out! We'll definitely go again and have recommended Taos snowshoe to others.

We had a good time on our snowshoe adventure. Stuart handled everything beautifully: he taught us how to snowshoe; packed in everything we needed for pit stops and snacks; and adjusted the pace as needed. When one of our party had some trouble with her boot and started to develop a blister, Stuart stopped and adjusted her boot for her... More

My husband and I called Taos Snowshoe Adventures for a quick, two hour trip last weekend. Although it was not very strenuous (but probably could have been, had we wanted to make it so), the owner, Stuart, led us on a relaxing, beautiful trail, and talked to us about the nature around us. I learned more about the forest in... More
