We found it to be entertaining and educational. This place had more information about the interaction (and troubles) between the Pueblo and Spanish than other 'ruins' that we visited on our trip. The small museum and fairly short trail to the sites were well organized.

Traveling on I-25 out of Las Vegas, New Mexico on our way to Santa Fe we saw the signs for Pecos. This was not a planned stop but the signs peaked our interest. We were really happy we were sidetracked. The visitors center is nice and they have a short film on Pecos before you walk the ruins. They have...

This historical ruin site is a very quick trip off the i25 East from Santa Fe. Go into the museum first and watch the movie before you walk the trail. The movie is short but gives you a very important preview of the history of the site before you see it.
The gift shop/ Admissions is quite good and the...

Everyone always forgets about this park, but if you've seen the major sites in the Santa Fe area, this park it worth a look-see. The park rangers are great and will tell you so much information. I recommend talking to them or learning more about the site before you go. It will really add to your appreciation of it.

The visitors center is a beautiful building with a very good museum with artifacts that covers the history of the area. There is also an excellent video narrated...

We found the self-guided walking tour to the pueblo and church ruins wonderful...the views are expansive and you gain a strong sense of the past, especially once you get to the first kiva. The laminated guid is helpful. We were also lucky enough to take the ranch house tour led by a ranger who was knowledgable and witty. She was...

Nicely excavated, well presented site, with a GORGEOUS visitors center--very attractive and informative. It's amazing what funding from a mega-millionaire will do!
By the way, it's located near Pecos NM, not Santa Fe NM.

Easy place to visit. Fairly level with slight inclines that should not tax most people.
The site is a nice example of an excavated pueblo village. This is a nice place to spend an hour or two exploring. Don't miss the museum and the short film in the visitor's center. Bring a picnic lunch or visit one of the 3...
