Increased competition in more upmarket establishments, albeit slightly more expensive, have made the icon that is "the bintang" seem a little tired and in need of a good paint. We stop here usually the 1st day we arrive and buy skin care products (much cheaper than Australia), we also stock up on chips/nuts etc and alcohol for those afternoon pre dinner drinks. Can buy just about everything here More

You can get everything you need here, from food, drinks, alcohol to souvenirs. The prices are very low. You cannot take big bags in, or shopping bags though. You have to leave them at the info desk. Located on the main street, there is a post office and a Commonwealth bank ATM just next to it. More
