A permit must be purchased from the Tourism bureau for R20pp. Adequate parking and a well drawn up glossy brochure/map in colour is available.

The reserve offer a wonderful array of walk, varying in length and difficulty. If you are fit and like to walk fast you can halve the times estimated in the reserve map.
Paths are beautifully maintained and are very clearly marked.

The Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve offers commanding views of the Franschhoek Valley, Wemmershoek Dam and parts of Theewaterskloof Dam. On a clear day Table Mountain is visible and seems almost close enough to touch! It makes for a hilly and challenging walk in places with access to a small number of rivers and rock pools that are glorious in summer...
