Access from Manhattan is not so great to say the least. and really it is great place for kids, but if you are just about to tour NYC or the US. It'll be just killing time for yo, and I strongly suggest to try and get one of the great accessible museums in Washington, DC.

An engaging museum experience with so many hands-on exhibits, and one of the best IMAX theaters I've ever been in.

Whether you are taking your class on a trip, or you feel like updating yourself on the latest science trends, the Liberty Science Center is a great place. From the touch-tunnel to give you a blind-person's perspective of the world to watching a really cool, state-of-the art I-MAX movie. Not to mention, the building is fueled and powered by Wind.

Many different exhibits that will keep kids busy for hours. Plan on spending about 3 hours there. One exhibit shows how the lungs look on the inside when you are a smoker. My kids vowed never to smoke when seeing that. There are also great exhibits that teach sensory science and exhibits on local sea creatures in our waters.

Ok so you pay $16.50 per person and children over 12. That's just the regular admission to walk and see not much to see .All Bank of America card holders get in free!! I would say walk in the park take pics or take the kids to the playground for free and if you get hungry eat at the dinner... More

We had a great time. We got there by 11:00 am and stayed there until closing time. There is so much to do there. Lots of hand on learning for the entire family . The Imax is amazing and was enjoyed by all.

This is a great museum for kids of all ages. And don't miss the big, loud movies! But seriously, lots of fun, not very crowded and totally underrated.

There is always something interesting on hand at the Science Center. I love all the interactive areas for the kids -- even us big kids.
