The guide focused more on owner history but also had some interesting information on Victorian life-styles, design characteristics of the architect, and the way things worked.

This house is well worth taking the time to visit. We went on a combination trolley ride and house tour, which made it very convenient. You can tour the house and spend extra time at the Carriage House where there are historical displays, a gift shop, and a lovely cafe, and then take a later trolley back to town. Their... More

We took the tour and you can go in all of the rooms on the first 2 floors with a knowledgable tour guide. It has been restored and is as authentic as possible. Probably not to interesting for kids unless they like history but it really gives you an idea what life was like back then. Worth the $10.00.

Great grounds to walk around where vendors sold their collectibles, their creations, beautiful hand made jewelry, beer garden, and a tea room set up for refreshments.

We walked from our motel to this beautiful estate for the Craft Show. There was great live music and some interesting vendors.

Take the tour of the house. Well worth it. The gift shop is for tea lovers. The gallery which changes every so many months is an excellent place to see Cape May history as well

The tour of the Physick Estate is a must-do if you are at all into the history of Cape May. The tour guides are knowledgeable, and this can be combined with a trolley tour, which is a nice trip through the streets of Cape May.

This was our first trip to Cape May, and visiting the Emlen Physick Estate was the perfect way to get the flavor of this lovely Victorian town. The tour takes 45 minutes and gives an interesting look into the Victorian lifestyle, as well as describing the historic preservation efforts of visionaries who saved this home from destruction. Not centrally located but a fun place to go to. Went on a tour and it was like going back in time. Boy, were they small people. Went and had tea in their tea shop and of course went shopping too.
