Husband and wife team are very friendly. We took this tour instead of the Osprey tour last year for the annual Cape Migration bird festival. The covered, flat bottom boat can easily handle 20 people with excellent viewing from all sides and front. The shallow draft allowed for marsh edge, close-up views of the wildlife. More

Went to this based on tripadvisor ratings and was not disappointed! Ed and Ginny are such nice people and super-knowledgeable about all the wildlife in the area. They're also really funny to watch together. ItThe biodiversity is just so beautiful, Ginny told us all about the area and the birds, showing some of the great spots that they like to... More

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this trip. We didn't know what to expect but we were really surprised by how much fun it was. You go out on a large pontoon boat which is enclosed in plexiglass but the glass is open. Ed and his wife run the excursion which lasts a solid 2 hours. You explore the salt... More

So much fun! The captains of the boat were very entertaining b/c of there great sense of humor. They truly made the trip. Ed and Ginny are very knowledgeable about the surround salt water marsh. I would have given it the 5 stars except I'm not a "birder", though I did enjoy the enthusiasm of the "birders". I also learned... More

First time on The Skimmer, 5/16/12, with my husband and 2 friends. Ginny and Ed were SO fun and informative as our hosts/skippers. We all enjoyed ourselves. Since The Skimmer sails in shallow waters and there is so much to look at, I think it's a great way to introduce newbies to boating and birding. The ride is smooth. Wonderful... More

Just took our second journey with Capt. Ed and Capt. Ginny this morning--even more wonderful than the first time, which was terrific, too. They really know and love the area and the wildlife, making for a delightful time. Especially nice--they pulled up and stopped whenever they could so that we could discuss and photograph the birds. We did take another... More

We have been going on the Skimmer each year for many years, and today was probably the best yet. The weather was excellent and the sights and sounds were amazing! The captains are both entertaining and knowledgeable. They won't let you miss a bird or miss an opportunity to learn something new and have fun doing it. Of course much... More

It is a great treat when tour operators LOVE what they do. And you can tell that capt Ginny & capt Ed are very excited about their job. I felt like they were taking their friends out to all their favorite places. And we were their friends and they told us all the interesting facts @the things we saw. It... More

Found the tour extremely interesting - I wouldnt recommend it for young kids - they lose interest quickly - try to do it at sunset -not to be missed. More
