The gentlemen stationed at different floors were very informative.The walk up the tower is much easier than the lighthouse and less crowded.

Unfortunately the tower was not open on a March Monday, but the historical references around the tower provided history that I was unaware. Glad a piece of signficant history still stands. Hope to visit again to climb the tower and see the amazing views. Sunset Beach is right down the road, and Cape May Lighthouse is about 3/4 mile away...

The region is not known for tall buildings so these World War II watch towers will give you a unique perspective of the area. On your way to Sunset Beach you must stop by the WW2 Lookput Tower. Recently restored by MAC, it provides visitors with a unique understanding of Cape May during WW2. Many of the docents are veterans and they have a wealth of knowledge. Please make this a stop on your tour.

Restored and now open to the public, take the time to climb to the top of this tower. Filled with WWII memorabilia, it is well worth the time, especially if a veteran is present to give you more information.

If you are interested in WWII history, this a good place to visit. An actual gunnery tower during the war, you learn all about the coastal defense network. A WWII vet was on site and is able to relate some good stories about the war. There is a great view from the top. Nice thing to do on a Cape...

Climb to the top, check out the displays on the way up. Talk to the very informed docent at the top...well worth checking out. You can tell all the people here want to share their story. I learned a lot...afterwards go to Sunset Beach which is just down the road. Found both on our last day...wish we had found them...
