Have a great day exploring the hidden treasures along the path of the Lost River.
Located in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, this is a great spot to spend the day with family and friends. Nice gift shop too. Very busy in the summer obviously. Stay nearby in North Woodstock, or Woodstock, or Lincoln, NH and...

Absolutely gorgeous. The many steps are laid out so comfortably that you do not need to be a super athlete or mountain goat. Very safe and so much to see. If you are not a cave lover it doesn't matter--the gorge alone is worth the visit.

Now, although neither one of us is an athlete or anywhere near being in the...

We enjoyed Lost river, but found it to be better suited for youngsters due to all the narrow access to and through the many caves. We went to the Flume Gorge in Franconia State Park earlier that day and found it more appealing. That being said if you are the area and especially if you have some children to entertain...

Our group went on a rainy July day. We ranged in age from 4 years old to 75. You descend down lots of stairs and then you get down to this rushing creek making its way over and around giant boulders. Then you start heading up. Every now and then you are invited to go into a cavern. I was...
