even though it was late summer, there was still enough water in the falls to make it look very pretty. we had a very nice early evening walk around th area
Easy hike and so beautiful. Go early so it is quiet. So worth it! Will absolutely go there again. One of my favorite places to hike and take pictures
So glad we stopped for this waterfall. it's a popular stop, so parking was tough. We went on a wet morning, so I was a little nervous with my youngest two. They were fine, they loved the spots to stop and look. The falls were great, got some really nice shots down there. On the way back, my twins counted... More
We parked outside the gate (during the govt shutdown) and walked in. It's a nice walk along the river and the falls are beautiful. You can continue past the stone path and there are several more falls most people never see. The path through the woods is worn enough that you will see it. Don't miss this, it's worth the... More
This is very nice scenery. However there were a lot of people there that day. If it has been raining the walking surfaces can be slick. Make sure you have the proper footwear on.
We were recommended these falls by our Innkeeper. It's a short 10 minutes walk from the car park along a well maintained path with steps. Well worth the effort.
Just visited here this past weekend and it was amazing! The Falls are beautiful! I loved the whole experience.the walk to the Falls is very pretty also. We toured a lot of N.H. in two days. I will go back but will stay longer next time. It's so much like Maine and I love Maine.
Who knew that, just a few feet away from the main road, there would be the most breathtaking waterfalls in the area - we followed a relatively easy path (the hike back up was a bit 'over the top' for us old fogies) which is .3 miles from the parking area (requested "donation" is $3.00) but the walk is well... The hike down was no sweat for my wife & I and our two kids (9 & 11). There are plenty of photo ops along the way, but the best is when you get to the botttom and feel the cool spray from the rushing waterfall. The trail difficulty is listed as "easy", but I must say that we had... More
located only a few minutes from the mt Washington auto road, this falls is a very nice addition to a trip to mt Washington. it is only a 5-10 minutes hike from the car to the falls. there are a few bumps on the trail, but for the most part it is well maintained and even has new handrails installed....
