Went out with them for second time this year. Both trips were poor, the captain can't find fish in a barrel. Rocky's reports say fishing has been good lately, big pollock every where, etc. Yet we get on the boat and the captain tells us its been poor all year and recently just as bad. All other boats in the area... More

We went on the evening fishing trip. We were fishing for Blues and only caught about five for the whole boat. The deckhands were young boys that were very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend the all day trip for cod next time. We were on the starfish and there is inside table and full service grill. Good family fun!

Went fishing on the allday trip with 9 of my friends. The day started slow but the crew and capt where trying everything they could. When we found the fish it was almost one after the other we had to start throwing them back cause we ran out of room to keep them. It turned out to be a great... More

Just got back from a horrendous boat trip. Although the whale viewing was great, the trip home was done at high speed by a boat captain who piloted like a maniac. People threw up, got soaked, could barely stand due to wet floors. A disaster - they should be fined at least for irresponsible behavior.

Trip run efficiently, crew was polite and helpful. Caught three decent fish and enjoyed the trip. Biggest letdown was the trip was crowded and at the depth we were fishing this led to very frequent tangles for everyone. Crew was helpful with the tangles, but nonetheless spent almost as much time fixing tangles as fishing.

The captain made next to no effort to keep the guest in the fishing mood. Moving once because the fishing was poor, we ended up in shallow waters for the last 2 hours of our trip. Dog fish and nothing to be said about the fishing. On our return trip from the Isle of Shoals the crew wanted everyone to... More

This is the worst fishing trip in our recent 3 deep sea fishing trips around NH & MA. We have a group 7, two-family for a 1/2 day fishing trip on "White Star". We did not have much expectation on the trip other than for family fun. So the fishing time was not bad except we most tended up untangle... More

I totally agree with all the other negative comments about Al Gauron, before we got our tickets to go on the night trip we informed them that we were NOT interested in mackerel fishing but would like to fish for striped bass the lady at the ticket desk wasn’t sure if we could do that so she called the captain...
