A wonderful history walk. Visit all the shops, saloons, and restaurants. Also the historic hotel. There is so much to see. Be sure to go into the Pioneer Emporium. It is the best gift shop in town. The owner hand makes cowboy hats. There are also some great places to see on B street. Lots of Victorian houses. Enjoyed myself. More

If you are visiting Reno then you should take this drive to Virginia City. Starting from Reno take the 395 south to Carson City then Hwy 50 and follow the signs to Virginia City. The drive alone is well worth the trip and it's a complete loop back to Reno so you do not have to repeat the drive back.... More

We went to Reno with friends in June 2011 and took a day trip to Virginia City....awesome old western town....cute shops, old catholic church and old opera house....just a neat suprise. Didn't think it would be that much fun. More
