This place is impressive and is the perfect way to learn how mining in Tonopah saved the state. There is an informative movie, museum and visitors can actually walk into a mine. Be ready for some walking, up on top, at 6000 ft plus elevation.

I really appreciate the research that was done to accumulate this plethora of items from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Very interesting and I really like the outside cabins and items to look at.

A large mostly outdoor museum preserving the historic silver mines in Tonopah. It definitely has an "old west" feel to it with the mining equipment and buildings in a state of arrested decay. There is also a good bookstore for local and mining related subjects. I very much enjoyed it.
