Needed a day activity on a recent trip to Reno and lucked out with the Discovery Museum. With two kids age 7 and 9 I was a little concerned it may be geared for a younger audience however once we got there it was the perfect place for this age. Enough exhibits/activities to stay 4-5 hours, a while there was...

We have a family membership and have visited the museum at least 6 times this year. My 5.5 year old twins just love it, and even my 10 months old baby has fun there. It's interesting, clean and well maintained. Would rank it at the top of Discovery museums, alongside San Fracisco/Sausalito and San Jose.

We were here for half a day with our Grand Daughters, 4 & 6, they loved all of the "discovery" things to do and we did not tire of watching them. If you have kids or Grand Kids you have to take them here. If you don't have kids just go to watch kids having a great time.

Surprised about how great this place was and not at all expensive. My kids aged 5 and 8 didnt want to ever leave. So much to do there. We spent 4 days in Reno and decided to try this place out and we are so glad that we did. The downside is if you dont get there early, there is...

My kids (11) thought they were too old for this place. They loved it! There are many engineering type activities here. We will have to try it again sometime. The climbing structure was fun as was the mock Truckee River.

Fantastic fun with education. My son's favorite is building a virtual green house. Also the model of the truckee river. We love this place so much we bought a pass. We've been three times and are still discovering new stuff. The catapult is also great fun. We love having more family options for a fun day. the museum fits the...

We love taking our kids here, ages 2 and 5, and they get so excited when I tell them we're going to the museum. In a typical two hour visit we probably only visit half the rooms. It's so great seeing the concentration on their faces as they explore air flow, magnets, solar energy, water, building, etc. There's an amazing...

The facility has about eight different areas, each in quite separate rooms. They are all hands on, and very attractive. There is one room for toddlers. The others are open to all ages. Nevada's history and earth science each have a room. There are hands-on science rooms: one is physics (magnets, air, force), one is about renewable energy methods and...

The Discovery is an incredible place for kids of all ages. My two children (age seven and age 2) had an amazing time and never ran out of things to do and see. Best of all, they can touch and play with everything. There was a wide variety of things to do from physical challenges like a VERY TALL cloud...
