As a Baby Boomer for whom the Cold War was the backdrop to my early life I was fascinated with the detailed displays here giving the timeline of all that went into maintaining the nuclear deterrent during that time. Whatever you may think of nuclear weapons the human ingenuity and effort that went into this programme was immense and the... More

There was a Groupon offer that made the price of admission worth visiting this place, which to me is on right on the campus of UNLV. Anyway, I did have to buy the Groupon of 4 for the three of us guys, even if we couldn't find a last person to use the ticket on (still a better deal than... More

It was very interesting but they really downplayed the damage done to people snd environment. Glad we went but info was a little biased. Seeing all the hardware was fascinating. Buy tickets online before leaving...for a good discount

This museum has a lot of information. I enjoyed the several videos that it showed but most of the information you have to read. There were some interesting exhibits. I enjoyed the museum and was glad that I went, but will probably never visit it again. Free parking. Close to the strip. Employees are really friendly and helpful.

We had some time to kill and decided to stop by this place on the last day of our Vegas vacation. All in all, it was definitely worth the trip. The museum itself is relatively small but it's packed with information. 1-2 hours should suffice to see everything you need.

This museum's video and other exhibits provide excellent & interesting background and information on the beginning of the atomic era. As someone who grew up in the late 1940's and 1950's it certainly brought back memories. Highly recommend it for those 12 and above. Younger children might be bored. Takes about an hour to tour if you grew up in... More

It was a lovely afternoon. The staff is very helpful, they answer all the questions that may arise. There is a room that simulates the atomic bomb explosion: it was both scary and exciting experience. I wouldn't recommend the museum for kids, simply because they will be bored. As a bonus for a few more $, you may see the... More

Sure it all about bombs; BIG BOMBS but if you have an hour or so to invest in history this is the place to go. Timelines, photos, videos about the period in history in which it was important to invest in building and testing bombs that if used could get rid of everyone on earth. This is very interesting place.... More

This is more of an adult museum than a younger kid museum. Lots of reading to do, some great TV clips on screens going in, well paced, move through lots of areas, former workers at Area 51 volunteer to be on hand to answer questions. While I was not that interested in all the science, it was well explained, lots... More

If you want to get away from the spectacle of the Strip, the Atomic Testing Museum is worth a visit. It's close to the strip, but a world away. The presentations are well designed and engaging, with lots of visuals and artifacts. There is certainly a great deal of history presented, but not too much so that your interest lags.... More
