We rode in a horse drawn wagon around Cody Park to see the Christmas lights, then warmed up by toasting marshmallows over an open fire and drinking Hot chocolate. Going to Cody Park was our favorite activity this past Christmas. More

If your stop is in North Platte with the kids in the summer. Go visit the little amusement park. You can entertain the kids for an evening for a couple bucks and ride a vintage merry go round. Our family reunion has taken place in Cody Park the past two years. It's been a family favorite for several generations. The amusement rides are inexpensive and fun, the food at the concession stand is delicious (twist ice cream cones, anyone?) and the animals are so fun to see, feed and pet (Elk, Deer, Geese, Ducks, Peacocks, etc) More

Cody park is a blast, it is so cool they have a old carosel that is in working order. The kids had fun riding it. I think it is only open for the summer months, they also have an old train. Lots of geese to feed as well as other animals. What a relaxing fun place to hang out for... More
