This is a great place to see some great animals up close. Great place to visit. Have been here with entire family many times. More

We visited in winter and enjoyed our visit but there were few animals awake to be seen. It was, however, the only opportunity I will get to be snarled at by a coyote while still being able to stand my ground. They do good work here and are worth considering. More

The center is located just outside of town, near the high school. They have a large collection of orphaned, injured and/or abandoned animals. These critters are exhibited in enclosures that are only a few feet from the footpath. The animals included coyotes, cougars, fox, bobcats, bears, elk, wolves, buffalo, different varieties of birds, and more. The entrance fee is minimal.... More

Our family took a few hours to enjoy the Nature Center. It was great for the kids...not expensive and a great collection of animals and wildlife. Worth the time! More

The most scenic spot in the area. The grounds are a riot of color in the summer, the mountain views are splendid year around and the animals are active in the spring and fall. I cringe when people describe it as a "zoo" which it most definitely is not. It is a place for injured or orphaned animals to be... More

We visited on a hot weekday afternoon, and not many of the animals were up and about. Many of the animals' cages seemed a bit small. Still, this was as close as you're likely to get to a coyote and a few other species not often seen in zoos.h More

Nice to see, but not easy to view and photograph. Highlight was the feeding of Lewis and Clark, bears were hard to view. More

Spent the better part of the afternoon strolling around the grounds. Able to get fairly close to the animals, so you can really see them. You have to stop by and see "Poe" the talking crow. It's really amazing. It's cool how each enclosure has a sign about the animal and how it got to the center. Staff was great... More

The Beartooth Nature Center is the only public refuge in Montana to house native animals that cannot be returned to the wild due to injury or habituation to humans. They care for about 60 animals. There's a minimal fee for entry but you won't be disappointed. Each animals habitat has a sign that described the story behind the animal. The... More
