Wild West Rafting did a fantastic job of answering any questions before and during our rafting. Our family of 5 (kids 13,11 and 7) did the half day Paddle and Saddle combo (2 hours on horse, lunch then 2 hours rafting).I wasn't a huge fan of the horse outfitter's horses... some were neighbors horses and they actually laid down on... When I stopped by the Wild West Rafting office it was packed with people and I thought I would have a difficult time getting an unscheduled trip. I was immediately welcomed and asked my schedule and in two hours I was on the river. I was introduced to my guide and could ask him all my questions as I was... More

We went on the trail ride rafting package and had a wonderful time. All the staff at both locations(Ranch and river) were awesome and made sure we had an exceptional experience.

Maybe because we were the last float of the season - but our guide pulled out all the stops. I traveled with a group of 6 girlfriends. I'm sure when our young guide saw the group of middle-aged women he had to take down the river, he thought it was going to be a long day. We proved him wrong!... More

Our family had a great time with Alex rafting on the Yellowstone on August 29. He explained all safety procedures clearly to us before getting on the raft. Especially important to us since we had our 8 year old with us. He was a very good guide giving us some history of certain areas and stopping at some hot springs... More

This was our first time in Montana, and first time going White Water Rafting so we had reserved an overnight trip. The upside to this was that we had our own guide, so it was just the 3 of us. He was great! Really went out of his way to make sure we had fun. He cooked us a fabulous... More

We had spent a week visiting the Badlands, Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis, Yellowstone, Teton. For our last day in Gardiner, Montana, my wife and I planned on doing some horseback-riding and river-rafting. The owner of our motel, Yellowstone Gateway Inn (see separate review), recommended Wild West. This rafting outfit has 2 outlets in the small town of... More

This is not heavy duty whitewater, but it's the perfect family experience. Some category 2 and 3 rapids that will definitely get you wet, but not scare the pants off you. The guide we had (Mike) was terrific--entertaining and knowledgeable. We ended up floating into a pretty good wind, but most of the time he did the rowing and let... More

After a lot of research, I scheduled our group with Wild West Rafting for a pack and float. There were 42 of us including our tour bus drivers. They arre fantastic and we include them as much as possible. Our youngest was 5 and the oldest about 67, couples, singles and teens. We had people terrified of water and horses... More

Thank you, guys for your job! I never met so many awesome people in one place! It was one of the best vacations that summer.
