We had an excellent trip. Our horse were very well mannered and our guide did a great job of telling us about the history of the area and pointing out things for us to look for. We saw lots of wildflowers, learned more about trees and our kids said it was the best thing we did in Big Sky More

Six of us decided to try a trail ride at Moonlight Basin with Cedar Mountain Corrals. Well, this experience exceeded all of our expectations! First, the scenery is drop-dead gorgeous! Ponds, lakes, woods, creeks, Lone Mountain and Cedar Mountain all in the background. You are at a higher altitude for this ride compared to other trail rides and ride towards... More

If you want an authentic experience with horses and real cowboys and wranglers, go to Cedar Mountain Corrals in Big Sky. Very simply put, we had a ball, saw spectacular scenery, rode some really interesting and slightly technical trails way up in the mountains and had a ball. My daughter who is 7 and never really rode a horse before... More

This was the highlight of our trip. We did the hayride and cookout on our last night in Big Sky. We had a very friendly guide who was so knowledgeable and gave us the history of the area. He was great with the six children in our group and every engaging. The dinner was incredible- probably the best we had... More

We were very impressed with the enthusiastic staff and gentle, well cared for horses. We did the two-hour group ride at a walk which is perfect for people who do not ride often. Conveniently located in the Big Sky area and easy to find thanks to the staffer’s specific directions when we called. Although we did not have reservations, I... More

By far my favorite part of our trip to Montana was our visit to Cedar Mountain Corrals. It was our 10 year anniversary and a quick call (their calls are answered almost immediately, at all times!) I booked a 2hr ride and chuckwagon dinner as well as a stagecoach ride and chuckwagon dinner for those in my party who did... More

My family and I did the 2-hour horseback ride through the back country. This is only the 2nd time I've been on a horse and I'm glad we only went for 2-hours on account of my knees and legs (they were getting sore!). The horses were wonderful and our guide was a chatty college student who grew up around horses... More

We can't say enough nice things about Cedar Mountain Corrals. We went on the stage coach ride to the cowboy cookout. The cookout is located on a pristine, very secluded lake in the woods. The meal was as good as the gourmet meal we had at the Rainbow Ranch Lodge the night before. They have steak, chicken, salmon, sweet potatoes,... More

We found these guys by chance because everyone else seemed more interested in their itinerary than ours. We asked when we could go and they asked when would we like t go. Terrific guides from the bubbly enthusiastic Mallory to the knowledgeable and worldly (even though she's never left Montana) Monica. The proprietor, or one of them, BJ couldn't have... More
