See where “The Buck” started at Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site. Visitors can view the small frame house where the future President was born, and see furnishings that reflect what a house in western Missouri would have looked like during the time Truman lived in the house.

There's really not much here. But it is worthwhile to see for those wanting the entire Harry S Truman story.

Why travel out of state, there are so mnay things to go and do and see right here in Missouri. The "Show-Me" state has lots to offer for families and friends. Make sure to bring your camera, as there are lots of possibilities for some great pics not only at the birthouse but the landscaping and monument area too. .

This site was ok to visit, but what made it great was the interaction with the Rangers. They were holding a Junior Ranger day so not only did we get to tour the house, but there were extra learning activities to participate in. All of the rangers and volunteers were interesting and really captured my kids attention. They all left...
