If you are a war history buff into weapons, clothing, etc then this museum will be a great visit. Personally, I did not find it that entertaining nor informative. The introductory video does a good job of framing the background of the war, but I thought the best exhibits were actually the interactive portions, such as the music/poetry booths and... More

My husband and I thought this museum was top notch. Spent practically the whole day there. It's amazing that this museum, not funded by the government, is better by far than most government funded museums. Argument for a privatized postal service? Superb job, Kansas City! More

My husband and I visited this museum while on vacation and I'm so glad we did. The whole museum is excellent. They do a fantastic job with the movie in the beginning explaining how the war started and continue the excellence throughout the entire museum. I also love that you can go up into the memorial. I definitely recommend this... More

WWI was so demanding on the world. The US got involved and made a big difference. But now this facility is the only one that truly displays what the war was like. The archives are full of information to be used by scholars worle-wide. More

I've only been to this museum once for having been in KC all my life. We went around 2 in the afternoon, and the museum closed at 5. It wasn't nearly enough time to look at everything! The views of the city are fantastic from the observation deck. It's free to go up there. You have to pay for the... More

With few, if any, World War I survivors remaining, it is more important than ever to have a place where one can learn about this historical event and this museum does that job with flying colors. It is incredible to see what has survived almost 100 years since this conflict and what it was like to live and fight in... More

If you are ever in Kansas City, MO you must spend the day at the World War 1 museum. I spent only 5 hours there........really. There is plenty to read, watch and observe at this beautifully designed gem. Even the volunteer staff is enthusiastic about their museum. The learning experience is priceless as are the artifacts, short films and observatory.... More

Overall, the museum was a great experience. We took a couple hours, it could've taken a couple days to see everything one by one. Staff is friendly and helpful, the huge film in the back is a great thing to experience. Overall had a great time learning and reflecting even though the tower was closed. More
