Enjoyed our visit in Walnut Grove. The inside displays are similar to the Mansfield, MO setup but we enjoyed Walnut Grove more due to the self tour you can take, it allows you to spend all the time you want in all of the displays including the dugout home and you don't have to stay with the tour guide like...

Decided to stop in Walnut Grove on our way to De Smet, SD on the Laura Ingalls Memorial Highway. We chose not to go into the museum in Walnut Grove, did step into the gift shop which was nice. But I did want to see where the dugout had been, so we took the short drive to the old homestead...
