The Leonidas Overlook is the tallest man-made point on the Iron Range. It was created from mining overburdon (the surface materials that are removed to create the open-pit mines). You can see for 15 miles in all directions. It's free and easy to find (less than a mile out of Eveleth. Definitely worth the short trip! More
