I've been here several times. It's a good place to rent if you're having a party or catered dinner, and the show the docents put on is really quite interesting. It's fun to see how everything works--old piano rolls, mechanical fiddles, and many other wonders. Plan to take the guided tour! More

This is a sweet museum with very interesting music related items and instruments from around the world. You'll enjoy this Museum. They often have special events and activities, too. Check it out! It's right near the Grand Traverse Hotel in Acme, near Traverse City. More

Even though a friend had raved about it, our expectations were exceeded. We got a great private do to the luck of the timing of our visit so I am guessing that our experience was a bit unusual in that respect...if you like music history this is a must see. More

Visited on a rainy day, the Music House Museum had a very nice exhibit and some beautiful instruments. It was worth the time and short drive from the city. More

This is a classical music buff paridise. There is a guided tour you are taken on with a group of other people. Shows historical instruments from long ago. Most like a museum and items are behind glass. We thought it was definitely over priced (in our opinion) and probably would not return. More

I wasn't sure what to expect at this museum but we all loved it! Did the entire guided tour and loved the musical instrument demonstrations and historical backgrounds given by the volunteer tour guides. Well worth a visit, for all ages. More

A wonderful and impressive collection of automated musical instruments with nicely even paced information delivered by a very visitor friendly tour guide covered in approx. 2 hours. There is a well stocked gift shop worth spending time in. More

On a rainy day in Traverse City we went to the mall because didn't know what else to do our kids and a local resident struck up a conversation with us. He recommended the Music House Museum as something interesting to do. We ended up going not really knowing what to expect and had a really good time. The exibits... More

On tour with a 30 person group from Oregon, our Tour Operator found this GEM in Michigan. The Music House Museum is located in historic restored farm buildings with a collection of musical instruments large and small which play on their own in some fashion or another. I loved a large almost room-size carousel music maker -- I forget the... More
