Beautiful dunes along Lake Michigan's shoreline. One of the benefits of living in West Michigan. More

So glad we took this short, fun hike. You can print a map out online if you google the park. Nothing strenuous, very safe. The stretch of beach at the end is lovely, and secluded. Would recommend for everyone! More

A great park with easy access - go there! We took the beach trail from the parking lot - about 15 min to the beach, easy walk in the woods, them walked along the gorgeous beach for about 30 min and took the north trail back to the car, which was really beautiful, all the way among tall pines, about... I had never been to this state park before. There is a small-ish parking lot when you come in. We started on the trail to the beach thinking that Lake Michigan was right over the first hill, but soon found out that it was much further than that. However, the walk thru the hilly backdunes is just gorgeous, and in... More

A picturesque place with lots to do in town. Also, easy to find and not too far off the interstate. More

This is a place to visit every season, just to enjoy the differences, to enjoy the backdunes forest, and then to come out at the top of the dunes when you take the north trail! It is spectacular and not to be missed. There are some big hills, so take some water and snacks along for those smaller children. Enjoy... More

You can go to the beach this way, and some people do, but the real treasure is the hiking. Some hills and varied terrain, but not too athletic. It can get busy on the weekends so the best time is during the week. Great light for photos. More

Takes about 10 min to walk there ...and you ahve to carry all your belongings along. But what you;ll find is mile sof "almost" undiscovered sand beach. great for a secluded beach, does not work well f families if you have to carry along umbrellas, chairs, snack etc - and NO bathrooms More
