You need to go on a cool autumn afternoon, get a cup of hot apple cider, and get the best doughnuts ever.
I am a local Michigan resident and have been to Uncle John's many times over the years. I recently stopped on a Sunday afternoon and was extremely impressed with all the changes they've made. Although it was a rainy day, there was still a live band playing for entertainment, wagon rides, train rides, carnival rides/games and even a monster truck... More
It was very fun to watch how they make the cider. I don't think it gets fresher than that!!! Best cider around and donuts too. There are 4 different types of donuts to choose from - buttermilk, cider, pumpkin and cinnamon. There is a lot of entertainment: Wine sampling Gemstone mining Jumping Pillow Kids pony hop Train ride Pumpkin Patch... More
Uncle Johns is a great stop in mid-Michigan any time of year, but fall is special! The apple cider is outstanding, the pumpkin patch is great, and the cider and pumpkin doughnuts are to die for! Not only that, their winery has fantastic wine, my wife's favorite is the sparkling peach wine. They also have a very nice gift shop... More
Warm cinnamon sugar donuts fresh from the oven and just pressed cider what could be better on a beautiful fall day in Michigan?
Uncle John's Cider Mill has grown into a complex of buildings. These consist of the Cider Mill, pie factory, gift shop and fruit winery. A nice stop and great if you have kids. Noticed a couple of tour buses when we stopped.
I take my grandson there for the kid attractions, rides, and of course apple cider and awesome donuts. We love the gift shop and bakery, always finding something yummy to bring home. There is live music on the weekends, very enjoyable!
We visit Uncle John's Cider Mill each year in October. This year we went on Sunday, October 21st. The place was insanely busy! We had cider and donuts, as we do each year. The cider mill was actually in operation while we were there, so that was a fun thing to see. This year our 8 year olds played in... More
What a fun place to visit...We had a great trip with our adult son in Lansing and 2 of our Columbus children. We were told by one of the Dr's I work for that we should visit. The wine tasting, apple cider, donuts and people made the day!!
Uncle John's has a huge variety of family activities and snacks: a working cider press, gift shop, bakery, bounce houses, pumpkin patch, caramel apples, doughnuts.... You can easily spend most of a day here and lots of $!! Things add up. It is well kept and tons of fun, but do not expext this to be especially budget friendly.
