I visited last weekend when my parents were out for a visit. I grew up in California and have toured some of the major regions there (Napa, Sonoma, Central Coast) as well as the Columbia Valley region of Oregon and Washington. St. Julian has some very good Michigan wines, the Blue Heron is really good and we also liked their Niagara. If they have any Uncle Bob's BBQ sauce in stock grab a bottle - it has just a hint of wine which makes it less sweet and more tangy. More

This is a great local winery, the oldest in MIchigan. They offer tours (allow about 45 min.) on the hour as well as wine tastings (about 6 wines each or premium for a small tasting fee).
