It's a 'don't miss' if you're in the UP. Spring or summer are the best times to visit. Try to catch both the Upper and Lower falls. Well worth a side trip, More

Enjoyed our visit. In particular the upper falls. We didn't spend alot of time as it was at the end of a long day and we still had a long drive and the unpredictable U.P weather which started out the day very mild turned very cold with 25-30 mph wind. The upper falls is a fairly short hike, about a mile on... More

Everytime we go it's different. In the winter the ice formations are incredible. More

We hiked around the falls and road cycled about 50 km in the area as well. The traffic on the roads was extremely light, so great to ride your bike. The hiking was beautiful in the area as well. Great spot for taking photos of which I took advantage as well. There are places to snack/eat and bathroom facilities. We... More

It is as always beautiful! Water level was at its peak height. No bugs due to cold temperatures, making it a wonderful experience! Brewery as always had a great selection of beer on tap and the smoke fish dip is great. More

Gorgeous in the summer, even more so in winter. As the water falls, mist rises and coats the surrounding foliage with a thick layer of ice. There are quite a few steps, but it's worth the work. A great gift shop has some nice things, and in winter you must be able to get here via snowmobile because when we've... More

I first went here in college as a recreation minor. There are two falls--the big one in the picture you just look at and the lower falls where you can play around and get a rowboat. There is a path connecting them--I heard you need bug spray for the walk!! But the walk to either the lower falls or the... More

This was my second trip to the Falls--first in winter. There is a short walk to the viewing area and 50 steps down to a lower viewing area. We went snow shoeing and then headed to the falls for a few pics. The park service had a special evening --a guided snowshoe/ski trail with lanterns. We had alternate plans, but... More

The walk to the falls is a little far if you're not in good shape but, it's worth the effort. More
