Visited the Whitefish Point lighthouse with my family of four...self-guided tours and beautiful beach. The kids enjoyed the fact that it wasn't a "long" museum tour as there is not much "interaction" for younger kids but still interesting to them. More

Whitefish Point was worth the stop. It was a very windy night and the beach and waves were great. The lighthouse is okay. More

Admission is like $13 for adults. I figured the museum couldn't be that good so we skipped it. The grounds were pretty, but not worth the drive. The gift shop goes a little overboard with the Fitzgerald stuff (there's a fine line between reverence and creepiness). More

I took my family up to the lighthouse in August of 2010. The shipwreck museum is really cool, and the boathouse and lighthouse living quarters are neat as well.
