If you have ever heard Gordon Lightfoot's song about the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald this will interest you. The museum contains stories and photos of the Lake Superior ship graveyard. If you plan well in advance, you can stay the night in renovated crew quarters. More

I don't know if the building housing the Shipwreck Museum was ever a chapel, but visitors touring the nicely detailed displays, just might feel an undeniable spiritual presence in the main gallery.
